The 20th Aroma Library has been established in Jinhua Dongyang Sanlian primary school!
On May 17, 2025, a warm spring day, more than 40 volunteers from Aroma Foundation came to Sanlian Primary School in Qianxiang Town, Dongyang City to jointly build the 20th Aroma Library with local students.
Sanlian Primary School in Qianxiang Town, Dongyang City is located at the foot of Tongshan Mountain and by the banks of the Xiangxi River. It was founded in 1920. In 2015, the original Sanlian Primary School merged with five other completed primary schools to establish Sanlian Primary School in Xinqianxiang Town. At present, the school covers an area of 37528 square meters, with 20 teaching classes and nearly 900 teachers and students. The school has successively won the honorary titles of: Standardized School of Zhejiang Province, exemplary organization of Youth Science and Technology Physical Education Competition of Zhejiang Province, etc.
As usual, the volunteers brought exquisite books for this event, which were handmade by young volunteers to decorate the reading room.
Unlike usual, this time we invited student representatives from Sanlian School to participate in handmade crafts and held a unique social event afterwards.
During the event, Xu Saizi (from Donghai Securities), a volunteer of the Aroma Foundation, served as the host and quickly familiarized the students of Sanlian Elementary School with the young volunteers of the Houxiang Foundation through an ice breaking game of passing flowers through drums. Afterwards, the students from Sanlian Elementary School brought drum performances, pipa performances, floating paper airplane performances, and all sang the song "Cat and Tiger Song" together. The program was exciting and full of applause, showcasing the children's versatility. Tang Yanran, a volunteer from the Aroma Foundation, also sang the children's song "Red Dragonfly" and won applause from everyone. After the performance, everyone played various small games together, including riddles, megaphones, etc. The children were performing and playing games in front of them, while the volunteer friends were busy arranging the library and watching from the side. Everyone laughed heartily and burst into laughter.
After the social activity, we held a plaque awarding ceremony, where the principal of Sanlian Primary School delivered a speech. Then, Ms. Shi, a volunteer representative, donated a library plaque to the principal. Finally, we presented activity certificates and souvenirs to all the young volunteers and school students who participated in the activity. The event came to a successful conclusion with a group photo shoot! Looking forward to meeting again!
The 19th Aroma Library has been established in Lishui Longquan Xixin primary school!
On the afternoon of June 22, 2024, volunteers from Aroma Foundation came to Xixin Primary School in Longquan City to build the 19th Houxiang Reading Room. Thirty-eight volunteers, including a dozen young volunteers, moved 2,000 books to the new library, sorted and numbered them.
The beautiful paintings made by the little volunteers on the spot are placed above the shelves, adding a lot of warmth to the beautiful library.
This was followed by a brief donation ceremony.
First of all, Ding Zhiren, Secretary of the General Party Branch of Longquan Xixin Education Group, on behalf of more than 900 teachers and students of the school, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Zhejiang Houxiang Book Public Service Center for its enthusiastic care. At the same time, he said that it is necessary to cultivate the majority of students to establish ideals from an early age, learn to be grateful, and repay the society in the future. Finally, I hope that the volunteers of Zhejiang Houxiang Book Public Welfare Service Center will come to see it often, communicate more and contact more.

Love needs to be passed on, and volunteering must be passed on. The handmade gifts of the little volunteers are a beautiful testimony to the continuous inheritance of volunteer service.
After the donation ceremony, everyone came to the school exercise to take a commemorative photo, looking forward to the next meeting.
Love is transmitted, and books are loved. Through this activity, we hope to ignite a fire of reading for children, light a beacon of reading, and illuminate the road of knowledge in children's lives. Read good books, be a good person, repay the society with the knowledge and principles learned in books, and truly become the pillars of the motherland!
The 18th Aroma Library has been established in Taizhou Tiantai Donglin primary school!
On April 20, 2024, a warm spring day, a group of 54 volunteers from Aroma Foundation came to Donglin Primary School in Pingqiao Town, Tiantai County and gave a special gift - the Houxiang Reading Room - to the children. On the occasion of the upcoming World Book Day, we delivered exquisite books for the kids.
Tiantai County is located in the eastern part of Zhejiang Province, under the Taizhou City. It is the birthplace of Buddhism Tiantai Sect and the founding place of Taoism Nanzong. It has many historical and cultural relics, such as Guoqing Temple, Chicheng Mountain, Tongbai Palace, etc. The natural scenery of Tiantai County is also very beautiful, known for its picturesque mountains and rivers. It is the hometown of Chinese tea culture, one of the key tea producing counties in China, and the source of the "Maritime Road of Chinese Tea". It is known as the "source of tea in Jiangnan and the ancestor of Korean and Japanese tea".
The volunteers brought in bags of books, labeled them, and then arranged them neatly. The young volunteers work together to make handicrafts and decorate the library with the finished ones. The dedication of the volunteers can be felt everywhere in the library. After finishing these tasks, everyone cleans up together and presents a clean and beautiful library in front of everyone. Finally, the foundation installed a plaque on the library.
Principal He of Donglin Primary School, on behalf of all teachers and students, thanks the selfless dedication of the Aroma Foundation and all friends who care about and support the development of the school. An Liangyuan, a member of the Party Committee of the Tiantai Education Bureau, delivered a speech, hoping that the school can make good use of the library and use this opportunity to promote the construction of a bookish campus, so that all teachers and students can use books as companions and friends, cultivate good reading habits, and see a larger world from books.
The final stage of the activity is for Xu Linchao, the deputy mayor of Pingqiao Town, and Mr. Wan, a volunteer from the Aroma Foundation, to present certificates and gifts to the young volunteers.
The completion ceremony of the library was successfully concluded with laughter and joy, and the volunteers, the teachers and students witnessed this exciting moment together.
The 17th Aroma Library has been established in Shaoxing Shenzhou Xianyan primary school!
On Saturday, December 16, 2023, the temperature was -1~3 degrees Celsius. Our volunteers from the Aroma Foundation are on their way again!
The place we are visiting this time is the Central School in Xianyan Town, Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Xianyan Town is located in the central part of Shengzhou City, and Li Bai's (who is the most famous poet in Chinese history) famous Shan River flows through it. According to the "Ji Qing An Stele"(《积庆庵·碑记》), more than 1800 years ago, three immortals played Go on a rock, hence the name Xianyan (means immortal’s rock). Also, it is said that during Emperor Qin Shi Huang's (the first emperor in China who first united the nation) eastern tour, where his horse feet were trampled, there was a horseshoe stone called Xianyan. In short, Xianyan Town is a treasure trove full of historical and cultural significance.
Xianyan Town Central School is a nine-year consistent school, covering an area of 15 acres, with a total of 12 classes, including 6 classes in primary school and 6 classes in junior high school. There are a total of 300 primary and secondary school students and more than 40 faculty members. There are 2 teaching buildings, 1 dormitory building, and 1 comprehensive building, with a total of 24 classrooms. In the future, rural primary schools in the vicinity will also be merged, with an expected increase of 80 students. The library is located in the vacant classroom on the 3rd floor of the primary school teaching building.
On the day of the event, the weather was cold and the north wind was steep. However, nearly 50 volunteers still braved the cold and set off with enthusiasm. On the way, the volunteers appreciated the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Shan River and appreciated the poetic meaning of Li Bai's "Dreaming in the Heavenly Granny's Farewell"(《梦游天姥吟留别》), and successfully arrived at Xianyan Town.
After lunch, the volunteers immediately threw themselves into the work of decorating the library, and the young volunteers were also very busy and hardworking.
Everyone's division of labor was clear and orderly, and the layout of the 17th library was quickly completed. Looking at the refreshed reading room, everyone was very happy.
Afterwards, a brief handover ceremony for the reading room was held. Principal Qiu of the school gave a speech, and Mr. Tang Songyang, the representative of the board of directors of the Aroma Foundation, handed over the reading room to the principal. Mr. Tang also presented activity certificates and souvenirs to each volunteer.
Attending the event are also Zhang Zailiang, Chief of the Education Bureau of Shengzhou City, Principal Ma and Principal Ding of Houxiang's previous cooperative school. Thank you to all the leaders for your guidance and presence!
The 16th Aroma Library has been established in Hangzhou Tonglu Hengcun primary school!
The 15th Aroma Library has been established in Shenzhou Xuzhai primary school!
The Shenzhou Xuzhai primary school is located at the foot of the beautiful Si Min mountain, around where are villages have long history of agriculture. As a rural school, the Xuzhai primary school takes good adventage of local cultural resources and sets up special planting courses.
Although the temperature was over 30 degrees celcius, our volunteers still came to Xuzhai for our library.The young volunteers from Hangzhou Bingjiang Experimental school and ones from Donghai Broker Hangzhou Party branch joined the activity as well.
With everyone’s effort, books were placed on the shelf in good order. The teenagers decorated the wall industriously just like bees. Soon all volunteers were soaked, whereas you can see smiles on their faces. After a while, the library was built up.
Later, the leader of Shenzhou Education Bureau had a speech and we delivered certificates and souvenirs to all young volunteers. Mr. Chen who came from Xinchang Baiyun school brought additional gifts for the kids. In the end, we held an unwilling ceremony and the 15th Aroma library was done.
Hopefully, there is a book that will make children fly out of poverty; Hopefully, there is a book that can change children's lives; Hopefully, there is a book that allows children to create their own future!

The 14th Aroma Library has been established in Shenzhou Guanglixiang school!
Guanglixiang School in Chongren Town, Shengzhou City is a nine-year consistent school, covering grades 1-9, with more than 400 students in 9 classes. The school was founded in 1941, when the war raged. Some people who worked outside Guanglixiang returned home and founded the School with the passion of patriotism and anti-Japanese. After experiencing many hardships, the school has been running in many places, and finally returned to Guanglixiang after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, and has continued to develop and grow in New China.
On August 13, 2022, despite the high temperature of more than 30 degrees celcius, our volunteers still came to Guanglixiang to build our library with enthusiasm. At the same time, volunteers from Zhejiang Equity Service Group also attended the event.
We divided our work and cooperated. Books were neatly arranged on the bookshelf. The young volunteers are responsible for decorating the wall, like a diligent little bee working hard. One by one was sweating, and beads of bean-sized sweat slid down from their faces, but each face was full of smiles. Soon, the construction of the library was completed.
After that, the leaders of Shengzhou Education Bureau made a speech and held the unveiling ceremony, and the 14th Houxiang Library was officially completed!
We hope that there is a book that can help children fly out of poverty; there is a book that can make children change their lives; there is a book that children can create their own future!

The 12th Aroma Library has been established in Taizhou Tiantai Leifengxiang central primary school!
There are 74 students among whom are mostly the left-behind children, studying in Tiantai Leifengxiang central primary school. They are called "left-behind" because their parent are working in well-developed provinces far from hometown and they are mostly raised by the grand-parents. 40 students need to live on campus due to embarrassed financial situation. Most kids were lack of reading materials and didn't get into the habit of reading.
Therefore, on May 22nd, 2021,our volunteers came to Tiantai to set our 12th library. Although it was raining, we were still full of passion.
With our together work, books were settled on the shelves in order. Young volunteers' job was wall decorating and they worked like hard-working bees. Everyone bathed in sweat but smiled on every face.
The library was all set around 3 p.m. and everything was shinning. The aroma of reading was left among the mountains and rivers of Leifengxiang. When the activity was about over, we sent certificates to our young volunteers.
We hope there is a book helping those kids fly out of poverty; a book can change the life of those kids; a book make those kids able to create their own future.

The 11th Aroma Library has been established in Jinhua Lanxi Hengxi central primary school!
On November 7th, 2020, our volunteers came to Lanxi Hengxi central primary school in Jinhua, where we established the 11th Aroma Library. Approximately 1000 students were studying here and the former "reading corner" was too poor to afford the kids a nice reading dream. Thus, the headmaster contacted us for help.
Consequently, taking a hope to create a better reading place for the kids, our volunteers came here by bus. Everybody wore a red jacket and work hard once arrived in school. Soon we all entered the working state.
We had experienced many times of construction job, so everyone was fully skilled and quickly found their own position.
Books were settled, the room was refreshed, the plaque was hanged and the Aroma Library was found!
Look at the room before and after the work of our volunteers. Huge difference, isn't it?
The book is a tool for creating the soul, said Victor Hugo. We hope such a library can help the children feel the joy of reading so that they can keep learning and growing in the knowledge ocean.
Our young volunteers also proved their hard working quality by their hands. Bravo! When giving them certificates, we were glad to see them growing up in volunteer works.
